Product Updates: A New Notification Lists System
By Mike Aanenson · 1 min read · Product
Real-time alerting is the reason most customers buy condition monitoring in the first place, but alerting only works if the right person gets the right alert, on a channel they’ll actually see. The previous single-list notification model made that harder than it needed to be as customer organizations grew.
Notification Lists
The old notification interface is replaced by Notification Lists, with support for multiple, separately managed lists. A plant can run one list for critical stop-the-line alarms routed to SMS, and a separate list for maintenance-planning notices routed to email, without the two competing for the same recipients or settings.

Group Subscriptions and Per-Person Preferences
Subscribe an entire user group to a list rather than adding people one at a time, so a new maintenance tech who joins a customer’s team starts receiving the right alerts on day one. Within a list, each person can now set their own delivery preference - SMS, email, or both - rather than the list dictating one channel for everyone on it.
A pump OEM’s service desk can run one Notification List for temperature and vibration alarms (SMS, escalates fast) and another for weekly usage summaries (email, no rush) - same underlying signals, two very different urgency levels.
