As spring flowers extend towards the sun, Exosite will head west to sunny San Francisco for the IoT Stream Conference from April 22^nd to April 24^th. Exosite’s very own CTO, Mark Benson, will present on the topic of IoT Security Patterns: Examining the Landscape of Emerging Security Challenges.

Internet of Things (IoT) day is right around the corner (7 days, 18 hours, 57 minutes and 14 seconds), and Exosite is excited to announce that we have been invited to speak at two IoT-day events: IoT Live and Financial Executives International.

Developers from all around the globe gathered today in Minneapolis to kick off a two-day Boot Camp training session on Exosite’s Internet of Things (IoT) platform technologies.

On March 19^th, Exosite will take center stage at this year’s IoTFuse event to present on two topics: Five Phases of IoT: A Market Maturity Model for the New Connected Device Economy and CoAP: The IETF’s New Protocol for the Internet of Things.

IoTFuse is a conference that is geared to spark the Internet of Things (IoT). It will unite accomplished doers, makers, and hackers with the brightest executives, entrepreneurs, and innovators. The event will look at where IoT is today, where it is headed in the future, and how technology can be used to improve the physical world in which we live.

Minnesota is home to some of the largest brands in the world. Companies like 3M, Target, Best Buy, and Medtronic all have roots here. But Minnesota is also home to some of the most innovative tech companies in the market. In the technology-driven world in which we live, this economic strength has become increasingly important as consumers and enterprises not only rely on, but demand, seamless integration of technology throughout their daily lives.

Each year, major tech players in the mobile technology space gather in Barcelona, Spain, for Mobile World Congress (MWC). MWC is the world’s largest annual gathering for mobile and related industry C-level executives to showcase the latest cutting-edge technology and products that will define the future of mobile. And, as Exosite continues to rapidly expand our global technology footprint in Asia, Europe, and the Americas, by nature, we will be there too.

Over twenty IoT developers from a variety of industries attended Exosite's inaugural Boot Camp session in October 2014 and provided positive feedback about their experience. Based on this success, Exosite is now offering tickets for its Spring 2015 Boot Camp session on March 24th and 25th in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Each year, the international Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas sets the stage for the latest technology developments and trends. While CES 2014 was dominated by the “ultra HD” 4K curved TVs, predictions suggest that the Internet of Things (IoT) will not only steal the show at CES 2015, but will also be the next evolution for the Internet.

Exosite has expanded its technology footprint in the Minneapolis area as a fast-growing Internet of Things (IoT) software company. Since incorporating in 2009, Exosite has consistently doubled in size year after year and recently moved into a larger office space to better accommodate the fast-growing team.

On December 10th, several members of the Exosite team visited the Feed My Starving Children facility in Chanhassen, Minnesota, to pack meals for hungry children around the world.

Exosite’s Taiwan operations were recognized as the Outstanding Enterprise of the Year in the small and medium enterprises (SME) category at the 16^th Annual Golden Peak Awards. The presentation ceremony was held on September 26^th in Taipei, Taiwan, and was attended by both Vice President Wu Den-yih and Vice Secretary-General Lin Wan-Fa.

Exosite hosted its inaugural Boot Camp on October 20th and 21st at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Minneapolis. The two-day session provided an overview of IoT/M2M solutions, from physical devices and networking to servers and applications. It also included discussions about developing with Exosite's technologies and tools, ideas for creating new and more efficient applications, hands-on labs, and access to senior Exosite engineers for real-time questions and discussions.

Harmony Enterprises Inc. has spent decades building a great reputation in the waste compacting industry and is now the world leader in the design and manufacture of solid waste equipment.

Exosite worked closely with Harmony to add advanced wireless monitoring capabilities to their SP20 SmartPack® compactors, routing operational sensor data over cellular networks to Exosite's software platform where the data is captured, analyzed, and processed.

At this year’s Sensors Expo, Exosite decided to shake things up a bit. As we know, the Internet of Things (IoT) is a business strategy that carries incredible potential for any company providing a product or service. However, there are many components that must be integrated (e.g., edge node sensors, wireless gateways, transport layers, application software) in order to develop a complete IoT solution. In order to display how these components can work together, we teamed up with our ecosystem partners like Texas Instruments, Verizon Wireless, Anaren, ClearConnex, and California Eastern Laboratories to set up live demonstrations on the show floor.
